    He instalado #Osmand+ en mi Fairphone2 sin GApps y la ubicación por GPS no me funciona.He hecho una búsqueda rápida pero no he encontrado nada en internet. Alguien tiene alguna pista de lo que pasa?Gracias!

    ¿Algun cliente de mapas para visualizar/agregar ubicaciones a #openstreetmap ? 🤔 Ando revisando GNOME Maps, pero no me convence porque es sólo para visualización y necesito migrar todos los apuntes/anotaciones que hice en la aplicación de #osmand en Android (son mis puntos de referencia por los que he pasado).

    @daniels #Osmand is simply the best #OpenStreetMap app for Android and its forks: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.osmand.plus/

    Osmand is feature-rich, including navigation, editing, full offline functionality and much more.

    You can afaik however only add POIs and not change the map. Therefore you need #Vespucci, but I have no experience with it: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.blau.android/

    What I also love is #StreetComplete, since it offers a nice gamification for improving OpenStreetMap: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.westnordost.streetcomplete/

    @enjey lo imaginaba. Con #osmand de hecho editas también pdis y te los sube. Para calles o dibus complejos es mejor la web, pero para sitios es cómodo y rápido.

    @enjey @colegota por asegurarnos de que hablamos el mismo idioma, :) #openstreetmap no son los mapas sino la base de datos que se usa para dibujarlos.Aunque en su web también se puede ver el mapa.

    Dicho esto, esa base de datos no soporta añadir archivos, solo información pura y dura.
    Sí que existen por ejemplo servicios como Mapillary basados en OSM

    que es como un streetmap... más o menos libre (la app hace un tiempo no lo era y no sé ahora).

    Algunos servicios de mapas como #OSMAnd

    lo tienen integrado y desde ahí puedes ver fotos de un lugar si alguien las ha subido o subirlas tú desde esa app.

    Suponiendo que sea eso lo que preguntas y que no quisieras editar en mi mapa de #umap :)

    @revu #osmand es muy completo y un poco "dicifil" al principio, sobre todo por lo de bajar el mapa, configurar el perfil, etc, etc, luego es una super aplicación, y, como descargas los mapas, no tiras de wifi. Si necesitas ayuda... susocomesanha_at_suchat.org .

    WTF?! My non-rooted phone had #Google Maps pre-installed, but I only use #OSMand for navigation etc.

    Yesterday, I walked to a local restaurant, without using my phone, and had lunch there before walking back.

    I never opened #GoogleMaps.

    Today, I find a notification from Maps:
    How was {restaurant name}?
    Rate places to get smarter recommendations.

    So it tracked and calculated where I ate without even opening my phone or the app.

    Definitely time for #Pinephone / #LibreM

    I love #FreeSoftware: It took me and #GPSCorrelate only 9 minutes to precisely batch geotag 784 pictures with 6,4 GB by using 14 different tracks, that I recorded with #Osmand during my last vacation.

    Back from Paris during a severe heat wave, I would like to thank:
    - La Ville de Paris for maintaining a network of public fountains with drinking water
    - all the #OpenStreetMap contributors who added them to OSM
    - #OSMand developer(s?) for the quick way to display and access them when they were REALLY needed.
    Probably saved me from heatstroke once or twice.

    @solene @daniel_bohrer @fitheach Mapillary ( https://www.mapillary.com/ ) and OpenStreetCam ( https://openstreetcam.org ) are the 2 “open content” street level imagery services that help #OpenStreetMap.

    I don't think the #OSMAnd camera app is for that (both have their own apps), but it's for taking a georeferenced photo so that you can add data to #OSM yourself later. It doesn't upload the image(s) anyway.

    @lesbianhacker There's a project to "canonicalise" brand names in #OpenStreetMap for cases like that. I don't think #OSMAnd uses it, and it might just be for editing. ( https://github.com/osmlab/name-suggestion-index/

    I suspect it's just doing a string search on the `name` tag. I'm surprised it's not picking up a partial match... 🤔

    I've completely replaced Google Maps with the open source alternative OsmAnd (Open Street Maps).

    I love that you can download maps for offline viewing and even mark places on the map. I've used it while travelling too.

    Highly recommend!
