The phrase "Give me convenience or give me death" seems to ring true for a lot of folks, developers or otherwise. Convenience is what will be our undoing. (I've been with FOSS software for 25+ years, so I speak from experience).
@aral Thank you for putting into words what I find imminently frustrating about blockchain. Every time someone explains it to me it feels like "and you're just trading receipts that eventually filter back to some central authority. You've created a bank but with more steps."

Fun fact: Jitsi instances use a headless Chrome instance to record, which is then fed to ffmpeg, so if you're feeling really frisky you can spin up your own instance and tweak ffmpeg to make something better.
